This is a community event that provides an environment of fun competition in a family environment at the Ocean Beach pier. We have combined it with the OBTC crafts fair! We also do a beach cleanup and provide opportunity for our members to volunteer to to help make this event happen. Proceeds benefit , Mouse Scholarship, PLHS Surf Team, Big Worm's Cystic Fibrosis, and other Local Organizations

All participants must be age 16 or younger and reside in Ocean Beach, Point Loma or a member of SCSA.

Unfortunately, no. All participiants must register in advance. Hurry, spots fill up quick!

The contest starts at 7 am sharp! We usually end no later than 4 pm. The Super Grom heat begins at 11 am.

The super grom heat is the only allowed time a participant can be pushed into a wave. Surfers in all other divisions must paddle into their own waves.

This non judged parent participated heat is from 11 am. - 11:30 am. All super grom surfers will receive a trophy and get to participate in a group photo.
